In addition, the ALFA MC-12 Head is compatible with most standard #12 hubs, also known as “Hobart compatible hubs” on mixers, power drives, and power bases made by other makers/factories. The ALFA MC-12 Head is made of 304 Stainless Steel, which is more durable, sanitary, and easier to clean than nearly every other meat grinder on the market. Most other meat grinders on the market are made of “tinned”/”hard chromed” cast iron, which flakes off into food & rusts over time, creating sanitation and food safety concerns.
